The All-Terrain Assault Transport (AT-AT) is a towering quadrupedal walker that appears in the Star Wars universe. They first appeared during the Battle of Hoth in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

The AT-ATs first saw active duty late in the Clone Wars as advanced Republic troop transports and would be put to frequent use following the rise of the Galactic Empire. The walkers stand at 22.5 meters tall, boasting heavy armour that is all but immune to anything but the heaviest artillery or starship-grade weaponry. The 'head' of the machine carries two repeating blaster cannons and two heavy blasters that have exceptional range. The AT-AT required a minimum of 3 crew members, could carry up to 40 troops or could carry two smaller AT-ST scout walkers.
Weaknesses[]
Though the AT-ATs are heavily armoured, they are extremely slow. There are also unarmoured areas in the hull: the neck and the underbelly, which are vulnerable to precision strikes. The best method for taking down an AT-AT is to entangle its legs, as Rebel combatants discovered during the Battle of Hoth when Snow Speeder pilots used their crafts' harpoons and tow cables to truss up the walkers' legs to bring them down.
