The Balloon is a type of Badnik created by Dr. Eggman. It appears in the Ice Paradise Zone in Sonic Advance 2.
Overview[]
The Balloon is a hovering robot that resembles an octopus. It has a round, red head and several grey tubes extending from its undercarriage. The cylinder located within the circle of tubes is a gun that fires laser pulses.
Similar to the Oct and Takkon Badniks, the Balloon hovers about from side to side, firing its laser every few seconds. It can aim its laser in different directions, shooting diagonally left or right as well as straight down. These robots can be destroyed with any attack, though attacking from beneath them can be tricky as mistiming an attack can result in the player getting shot.
