The Cop Speeder is a type of Badnik created by Dr. Eggman. It is based on a police car and is designed for high-speed pursuits.
Description[]
The Cop Speeder appears as a Kiki robot riding an egg-shaped hovering vehicle made to resemble a police car. The vehicle is white with a black equator and sports a pair of red flashing lights just above the cockpit. Deployed in urban areas, these Badniks pursue assigned targets at high speeds and will attempt to run them off the roads.

Sonic Adventure[]
Cop Speeders appear in Speed Highway during Sonic's, Tails' and Knuckles' campaigns. They will hover in place until the player enters their area, at which point their sirens will blare and they will quickly fly towards the player, attempting to ram them. Due to their high speed and erratic movements, Cop Speeders can be somewhat difficult to hit, even for Sonic's Homing Attack.
Sonic Generations[]
Cop Speeders appear once more on Speed Highway in the console version of Sonic Generations. Their behaviour hasn't changed since Sonic Adventure, although they are easier to hit this time around with Sonic's faster Homing Attack.
In the two-dimensional first act, Cop Speeders can only move left and right in a straight line. They can be easily destroyed by Classic Sonic's Spin Jump or Spin Dash.

Archie Comics[]
Cop Speeders appeared in the Post-Super Genesis Wave era of the Sonic the Hedgehog comics published by Archie. By the time of their appearance, the Eggman Empire had discontinued production of Cop Speeders and the units that remained had been acquired by Breezie the Hedgehog, who used them as security robots.
