The EGG-HVC-D01 is a humanoid mecha built and piloted by Dr. Eggman. It is the first boss of the Sonic CD video game and the only boss machine in the game to be officially named. It walks about on two legs with spiked feet and deflects Sonic's attacks with the bumper shields on the ends of its arms. It will occasionally lower its guard, giving Sonic a chance to attack and inflict damage. The first two hits will each take off an arm, with the final third hit destroying the machine completely, causing Eggman to flee via rocket pack.
