The Egg Tank is a militaristic Badnik model created by Dr. Eggman. It makes its sole appearance in Sonic Forces.
Overview[]
The Egg Tank is a tank-styled Badnik modeled after a rhino beetle, similar to the Blaster. It is covered in reddish armour plating and moves on four mechanical treads; it also sports lime-green optics and its horn is actually a cannon that fires heavy-impact shells.
Egg Tanks appear in the Mortar Canyon stage of the main game and in the Enemy Territory stage of the Episode Shadow DLC. They typically stay in one spot and will attack by firing a steady stream of projectiles. However, the player character (either Sonic or Shadow depending on the stage) can use the Egg Tank's projectiles as "stepping stones", using the Homing Attack to bounce along them until getting close enough to the robot itself, which can be destroyed in a single attack.
