Arcee was the first female mainstream Transformer to appear in the franchise. She is a cunning and ruthless Autobot soldier, but outside of battle she is kind and compassionate, especially toward organics. The first thing anyone notices about her is, of course, her gender, which is merely superficial since, as a robot, she has no real gender. With her feminine frame, the Decepticons often make the mistake of underestimating her, something that Arcee always exploits to the fullest.

History[]

The Transformers (G1 movie and cartoon series)[]

Arcee made her debut in Transformers: The Movie. In the year 2005, the Decepticons launched an attack on Autobot City on Earth. Arcee and Springer activated the city's battle-mode before taking up defensive positions within the fortified walls. The battle was fierce and many Autobots were lost, but the tide turned following the arrival of Optimus Prime. Prime defeated Megatron in combat and sent the Decepticons into retreat, but at the cost of his life.

Later, after Unicron emerged as a threat to Cybertron, Arcee and several Autobots followed Ultra Magnus in leaving Earth to return to their homeworld. However, the Decepticons - under the leadership of Galvatron - attacked them as they departed, driving them far off-course. When Ultra Magnus' shuttle was forced to set down on Junk for repairs, Arcee tried to help Daniel Witwicky make use of one of the exo-suits his father Spike had created.

As the Autobots went about trying to repair their ship, the Decepticons returned, destroying the vessel. Arcee and the others witnessed Ultra Magnus' execution by the Sweeps and Galavatron leaving with the Matrix of Leadership. The group had no time to mourn their leader as they were suddenly attacked by Wreck-Gar and the Junkions, though this battle was halted following the arrival of Hot Rod, Kup and the Dinobots on a Quintesson ship. After peace was made with the Junkions and Ultra Magnus was revived, the Autobots and Junkions banded together to strike at Unicron and take back the Matrix.

Arcee Movie

During the battle above Cybertron, the Autobots drove their hijacked Quintesson ship through Unicron's optic lens. Hot Rod was separated from the others who had to fight their way through Unicron's interior defences whilst trying to find a way of escaping. They almost all perished, when suddenly Unicron's systems began to malfunction. This was due to Hot Rod opening the Matrix after reclaiming it from Galvatron. Hot Rod, now Rodimus Prime, led the Autobots out of Unicron's body by breaching the Chaos-Bringer's hull. With the Decepticon army scattered following the battle, the Autobots were able to reclaim Cybertron once more.

In 2006, Arcee and several other Autobots found themselves stranded on the planet Nebulos, which itself was in the midst of civil war. When the Decepticons pursued them to retrieve the Key to the Plasma Energy Chamber, the Autobots soon found themselves fighting alongside Gort and his Nebulon rebellion while the Decepticons would ally themselves with the Hive, the oppressive rulers of the planet. During their first battle on Nebulos, Daniel Witwicky was seriously injured by Snapdragon. In order to save his life and maintain his mobility, the Autobots instigated Brainstorm's Headmaster plan, binary-bonding Daniel with Arcee.

Arcee and Daniel proved to be a perfect pairing. While the Nebulons weren't all that familiar with their Autobot partners, Arcee and Daniel had known each other for years and had developed a familial bond in that time. This allowed them to work exceptionally well as they fought the Decepticons and the Hive.

  • Superior Speed - While not nearly as fast as Blurr, Arcee still possesses a high level of speed and agility due to her lighter framework.
  • Combat Skills - In hand-to-hand or at range, Arcee is a fierce combatant. She typically carries twin blaster pistols into battle.
  • Headmaster - In the G1 cartoon series, Arcee was among the Autobots who were upgraded into Headmasters.
