The Sentry Drone is a type of Badnik that appears in the video game Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. It is an older model of Badnik utilized by Dr. Eggman before his supposed death. After the doctor's disappearance, these robots were co-opted by the Nocturnus Clan.
Overview[]
The Sentry Drone appears as a small, spinning-top shaped robot with bronze-coloured plating and a red optic sensor. Its base is adorned with hazard stripes and it hovers via the propeller on its undercarriage. Its only armament is a small laser emitter on top of its dome. Sentry Drones are encountered by Sonic and his party in Green Hill, Central City and the Mystic Ruins. Their base method of attack is to fire a single yellow laser beam that inflicts low damage. They also possess the POW move "Buzzsaw" in which a drone attacks a party character using its propeller as a weapon, quickly grinding away a significant portion of health.
