Spiker Mk. II is a devious little Badnik from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Atop its body is a set of spikes, or so it appears. They are not like the usual spike traps that are commonplace in all Sonic games. The player can jump and bounce on them like a spring (one has to wonder why Dr. Eggman didn't just put real spikes on). When enemies draw near, the Spiker will pop out of the ground and shoot bullets from two small guns on its sides. Like the Blastoid, these bullets are useless if Sonic has a shield and will just bounce off.
